A delegation of senior faculty members, led by Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sultan, visited Sirat ul Jannah Orphanage in Company Bagh, Murree.
The visit aimed to:
– Organize a plantation drive
– Explore potential collaboration opportunities
– Offer support for higher education to needy students
The team, comprising Dr. Sumaira Maqsood (Addl. Director Student Affairs), Dr. Sadia Mehmood Satti (Dy. Director Student Affairs), Dr. M. Ilyas (Boys Hostel Warden), and Miss Asma (Dy. Director Student Affairs), interacted with orphan students, motivating them to develop their skills. Faculty members shared expertise in their respective fields, inspiring students to excel. The Vice Chancellor, along with the team, planted fruiting trees in the vicinity of the organization and urged the community to promote the drive and become a chain link to help fight climate change. This visit reflects Kohsar University Murree’s commitment to community service and social responsibility.

Today, Kohsar University Murree celebrated International Earth Day with great enthusiasm under the esteemed supervision of Worthy Vice Chancellor Professor. Dr. Muhammad Sultan and senior faculty members, students, local administration (DCO Office), RWMC, and the local community joined hands in this remarkable initiative.
The event featured inspiring activities, including:
– Plantation drive
– Campus cleanliness initiative
– Jhika track cleanliness drive
Professor. Dr. Muhammad Sultan conveyed a powerful message, emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship. He urged students, faculty, and the community to adopt a problem-solving approach, highlighting that “we should clean our environment for a better future, rather than creating problems.” This joint effort showcased the university’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment
Kafalah Foundation signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)21-04-2024
Today, Kohsar University Murree and Kafalah Foundation signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on Climate Resilient Agri-Livelihood Initiatives, focusing on: agri-farming, farmers’ capacity building, and value addition of agricultural products, including beekeeping, kitchen gardening, vermicomposting, and rainwater harvesting. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sultan, Vice Chancellor of Kohsar University Murree, warmly welcomed the Kafalah team, expressing enthusiasm about the potential for mutual collaboration in empowering local communities. Mr. Jamal Anees, MD, Kafalah Foundation, provided an overview of the organization’s ongoing projects and commended Dr. Sumaira Maqsood, KUM’s focal person, and Dr. Sadia Mahmood Satti for their outstanding coordination and cooperation in promoting agricultural activities in Murree.
