The Punjab Higher Education Commission has unveiled its quarterly newsletter, which offers a comprehensive overview of the events, updates, and accomplishments in the realm of Higher Education in Punjab. This edition focuses on the period spanning from October to December 2022.
Professor Dr. Habib Bokhari, VC KUM visited Hungary embassy in Islamabad on 8 june 2023. Dr. Sara Sarfaraz (Addl. Director External Linkages), Dr. Farida Hussain (Chief Executive Pakistan Young Physicsts’ Tournament) and Dr. Tahir Hussain (Managing Director Pakistan Young Physicsts’ Tournament) also accompanied VC KUM. The Kohsar team was welcomed by Ambassador Mr. Béla Fazekas and Ms. Gabriella Grafjodi. The VC invited the Ambassador on international Young Physicists’ Tournament going to be held at Kohsar University in July 2023. During the meeting KUM team briefed about the tournament in detail and discussed about possible collaborations, linkages and students’ scholarships. The team also discussed about possible avenues to promote science and technology in the region.
The President of the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), Professor Syed Komail Tayebi, visited Kohsar University Murree and welcomed by Prof. Dr. Syed Habib Ali Bukhari, Vice Chancellor Kohsar University Murree along with Additional Director, International Linkages Dr. Sara Sarfaraz and Deputy Director Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan. During his visit, Professor Tayebi interacted with students and faculty. He appreciated the various programs being offered by Kohsar University Murree, particularly the STEM education. During his visit, he discussed various collaborations to promote science and technology. The visit of Professor Syed Komail Tayebi to Kohsar University Murree is a significant step towards strengthening international linkages in the field of science and technology. In the end, VC Kohsar University Murree presented souvenirs.
A delegation from US Embassy led by his excellency Andrew James Schofer Charge d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission visited Kohsar University, Murree.
Vice-chancellor Dr Habib Bukhari briefed the delegation on different aspects of the varsity.
The delegation visited Jhika Gali and GPO campuses of the university and conversed with the faculty.
It took a round of the STEM, computer, microbiology, biotechnology and honeybee laboratories and aporeciated their standard.
Andrew James said that the embassy is fully supporting education, culture and skill development sectors in Pakistan.
Cooperation between US-Pakistan educational institutions was discussed. Support to women empowerment, student exchange programs and admission of Pakistani students to American universities were ensured.
Kohsar University’s Registrar Dr Mohsin Iqbal, senior faculty members and students were also present.
