The 1st meeting of Educational Institutions Specialized in Tourism, organized by ECO with the participation of 7 member countries, took place on December 4-5, 2023. The agenda covered curriculum, faculty development, exchanges, joint degree programs, and the evolving needs of the sector, emphasizing Academia-Industry linkages and the use of technology for sustainable tourism.
Prof. Syed Habib Bokhari, VC, Kohsar University Murree, led the group from Pakistan and gad sideline meetings with Secretary General ECO and heads of delegates for promoting integrated regional tourism and developing associated educational Linkages.
The forward-thinking discussions resulted in the formation of ECO-TEN, a network aimed at addressing key agenda points to prepare a resilient workforce with 21st-century skills, especially in the aftermath of COVID-19 and similar unforeseen disasters.
Dr. Abdus samad, associate professor of English, participated in the 6th International Conference “The Magic of Innovation: Outlook for linguistics and language teaching in the present context” held at MGIMO University, Moscow, Russia. It is noteworthy that out of limited travel grants for presenters across the world, he won 100% travel grant for this conference.
The Punjab Higher Education Commission has unveiled its quarterly newsletter, which offers a comprehensive overview of the events, updates, and accomplishments in the realm of Higher Education in Punjab. This edition focuses on the period spanning from October to December 2022.
The President of the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF), Professor Syed Komail Tayebi, visited Kohsar University Murree and welcomed by Prof. Dr. Syed Habib Ali Bukhari, Vice Chancellor Kohsar University Murree along with Additional Director, International Linkages Dr. Sara Sarfaraz and Deputy Director Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan. During his visit, Professor Tayebi interacted with students and faculty. He appreciated the various programs being offered by Kohsar University Murree, particularly the STEM education. During his visit, he discussed various collaborations to promote science and technology. The visit of Professor Syed Komail Tayebi to Kohsar University Murree is a significant step towards strengthening international linkages in the field of science and technology. In the end, VC Kohsar University Murree presented souvenirs.
A delegation from US Embassy led by his excellency Andrew James Schofer Charge d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission visited Kohsar University, Murree.
Vice-chancellor Dr Habib Bukhari briefed the delegation on different aspects of the varsity.
The delegation visited Jhika Gali and GPO campuses of the university and conversed with the faculty.
It took a round of the STEM, computer, microbiology, biotechnology and honeybee laboratories and aporeciated their standard.
Andrew James said that the embassy is fully supporting education, culture and skill development sectors in Pakistan.
Cooperation between US-Pakistan educational institutions was discussed. Support to women empowerment, student exchange programs and admission of Pakistani students to American universities were ensured.
Kohsar University’s Registrar Dr Mohsin Iqbal, senior faculty members and students were also present.

دو دن تک جاری رہنے والے اس بک فئیر کا افتتاح پروفیسر یوسف خشک چیئرمین اکیڈمی آف لیٹرز پاکستان نے وائس چانسلر کوہسار یونیورسٹی مری پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید حبیب علی بخاری کے ہمراہ کیا اس موقعہ پر طلباء وطالبات نے کتب میں گہری دلچسپی لی اس کتب میلہ میں سائنس ادب آئی ٹی بائیو سائنسز ایگریکلچر اور ٹورازم سے متعلقہ کتب رکھی گئی ہیں تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے ڈاکٹر یوسف خشک نے کتب بینی کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی اور پاکستان میں اس کی کمی پر افسوس کا اظہار کیا انہوں نے کوہسار یونیورسٹی مری کی طرف سے اس کتاب میلے کے اہتمام پر خوشی کا اظہار کیا اور طلباء وطالبات سے کہا کہ وہ نصاب کے علاؤہ تمام ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں میں حصہ لیں اور بالخصوص کتابوں سے اپنا رشتہ مستحکم رکھیں اس موقعہ پر وائس چانسلر کوہسار یونیورسٹی مری نے کہا کہ ہر طالب علم کو ہر روز مطالعہ اپنا معمول بنانا چاہئیے وائس چانسلر نے معزز مہمان ڈاکٹر یوسف خشک کا اس کتب میلے کے افتتاح کرنے پر شکریہ ادا کیا اور ڈاکٹر محمد وقاص بنگیال کو اس کتب میلہ کے انعقاد پر شاباش دی انہوں نے کہا کہ کوہسار یونیورسٹی کتب بینی کے فروغ کیلیے اس طرح کے پروگرام منعقد کرتی رہے گی یہ کتب میلہ کل بروز جمعرات بھی جاری رہے گا
کوہسار یونیورسٹی مری کے زیر اہتمام سیرت نبوی کانفرنس کا اہتمام کیا گیا جس کے مہمان خصوصی علامہ اقبال اوپن یونیورسٹی کے اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حارث سلیم تھے اس موقعہ پر طلبہ و طالبات کے مابین نعت رسول مقبول اور تقریری مقابلے کا اہتمام بھی کیا گیا وائس چانسلر کوہسار یونیورسٹی مری پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید حبیب علی بخاری نے کہا کہ اسوہ پیغمبر اعظم ہر دور کیلیے مشعل راہ ہے اور ہماری کامیابی سیرت رسول کی پیروی میں ہی مضمر ہے

کوہسار یونیورسٹی مری میں پنجاب انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی بورڈ کے تحت قائم ای روزگار سنٹر کی افتتاحی تقریب کمپیوٹر سائنس ای روزگار لیب میں منعقد ہوئی۔تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی مستعفی ایم این اے صداقت عباسی،اور ایم. پی اے عابدہ راجہ تھیں.
فوکل پرسن ای روزگار اور چئیرمین ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف کمپیوٹر سائنس ڈاکٹر وقاص بنگیال نے مہمانوں کو بتایا کہ مری یونیورسٹی میں ای روزگار کا منصوبہ وائس چانسلر ڈاکٹر حبیب بخاری کی ذاتی دلچسپی سے
شروع ہورہا ہے۔ یہ منصوبہ حکومت کا انقلابی قدم ہے جس کے تحت لاکھوں نوجوانوں کو روزگار کے ذرائع میسر آئیں گیں اور ملک کے لیے کثیر زرمبادلہ کمانے کا بھی ذریعہ بنے گیں۔وی سی کو ہسار یونیورسٹی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر حبیب بخاری نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئےکہا کہ ای روزگار سکیم نے معاشرے میں بڑھتی ہوئی بے روزگاری اور مایوسی میں کمی لانے میں بہت اہم کردار ادا کیاہے۔ انہوں نے کوہسار یونیورسٹی کی طرف سے ای روزگار پراجیکٹ پر اپنے ہر ممکن تعاون کا یقین دلایا.

کوہسار یونیورسٹی مری سیلاب زدگان کی امداد و بحالی کیلیے ہمہ وقت متحرک ہے سوات ڈی آئی خان اور راجن پور میں 7ملین سے زائد کی خوراک ادویات اور لباس فراہم کیا جا چکا ہے جس میں یونیورسٹی کی طرف سے فری میڈیکل کیمپس شامل ہیں جبکہ یونیورسٹی کی ٹیم نے ان آفت زدہ علاقوں میں واش رومز بھی بنائے ہیں مصیبت کے شکار اہل وطن کی بحالی تک یونیورسٹی وائس چانسلر کی قیادت میں اپنا یہ سفر مقدس مشن کے طور جاری رکھے گی تمام معاونین اور گراؤنڈ پر کام کرنے والی ٹیم مبارکباد کی مستحق ہے۔
