BS Tourism and Hospitality
Tourism and Hospitality B.S degree program is structured to produce a business degree of a specific kind that is integrating Travel and Tourism Management; Hospitality, Food and Beverage Service Management, Event Management with the sustainable Ecotourism ideology. The Tourism and Hospitality Program aims to produce professionals with firm academic foundation in management and operation of most sectors in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. Graduates will be multi-skilled with transferable managerial skills within the travel and tourism hospitality industry. The curriculum also incorporates general education courses to broaden the literary horizon of the student not only in domestic tourism but in international tourism as well with special emphasis on improving their communication (oral & written) as well as critical thinking skills integrated with the hospitality specific content knowledge
The KU Murree’s Tourism and Hospitality program (Department of Tourism, Hospitality and Hotel Managment) will be at the forefront in the region with its international outreach and linkages with world-class schools of tourism and hospitality.
The Tourism & Hospitality program intends to create an intellectual, collaborative, ethical and inclusive environment for students, faculty, industry and community to produce innovative education, leadership and research opportunities. This will be achieved by producing leaders and professionals in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management using modern pedagogical approaches, intensive fieldwork, internships, community work, and hands-on experiences/extensive laboratory work. This practical work approach will equip them with the essential soft skills, critical thinking, and hospitality-specific content knowledge. This program will train our students to deal in diverse fields ranging from Tour Operations, Culinary, Restaurants, Front Office, Housekeeping, Bakery & Confectionary, Cafeteria, and Training Hotel, Eco-Tourism, Sanitation & Hygiene and in context with the cultural, social and psychological behavior of people. The program intends to advance its progressive vision and mission of maintaining high student achievement and research excellence by setting high standards of imparting knowledge through best management practices, which will help raise the tourism and hospitality industry standards and providing highly progress careers to its graduating students.

Higher Secondary School certificate or equivalent (2nd division with at least 50% marks) in pre-engineering/pre-medical/Intermediate in computer sciences/relevant subjects.
