Kohsar University Murree, in collaboration with Agri Tourism Pakistan, hosted a vibrant Local Fruits and Vegetables Mela today, celebrating the region’s rich agricultural heritage and promoting healthy, sustainable food practices. The event featured an impressive variety of local produce, traditional foods, and wild herbs, with a special focus on their medicinal and nutritional benefits. The Mela brought together students, faculty, local community members, and tourists, making it a well-attended and successful gathering. Students from different departments actively participated by setting up interactive stalls showcasing locally grown fruits and vegetables. These displays attracted widespread interest from visiting families and tourists, who appreciated the unique tastes and cultural richness of Murree’s natural offerings. The event also saw the enthusiastic participation of prominent local farmers, who engaged with students, sharing their insights and practical knowledge on cultivating fruits and vegetables at home.
